You’re in luck! The Greater Des Moines Partnership hosts several events year-round.
Winter/Spring: DSM Book Festival. This event is for book lovers. It's our only marquee event that's hosted inside at Capital Square. The Festival features nationally acclaimed authors, hands-on workshops, children’s activities and more.
Spring/Summer: Downtown Farmers' Market. The Market takes place every Saturday from May-October in the Historic Court District. The Market supports farmers, growers and artisan food entrepreneurs from across Iowa. The Market offers a variety of attractions and activities including shopping for fresh produce, eggs, meats and more; eating breakfast; enjoying the atmosphere; meeting with family and friends; and live entertainment.
Summer: World Food & Music Festival. The Festival fills Western Gateway Park and offers international cuisine, live music and performing arts, cooking demonstrations, interactive programs, wine and craft beers and much more.
